This fanlisting was created March 21, 2005. The picture used for the layout is from the manga Bleach, Volume 2 (Goodbye Parakeet, Goodnite My Sista), Chapter 14 (School Daze!!!). I edited it in PSP 7, so no takey.

Chizuru & Orihime are two female characters in the manga series Bleach. While Orihime is a main character, Chizuru is not. Orihime is a rather absent-minded young girl, often letting her imagination get out of hand. She can seem very dingy at times, but underneath it all, she has a real skill for picking up on other's emotions & paying attention to their feelings. She can see spirits as well, & has her own wacked-out powers, which consist of protectful fairies that are in reality her hairpins. Chizuru is one of Orihime's classmates, & is so obviously into the fairer sex... this being women, of course. She has a severe crush on Orihime, though all of her obvious passes at the other girl go terribly un-noticed. That is, from Orihime's point of view. Their other classmates seem painfully aware of the situation.

Bleach is a popular manga by Kubo Tito, appearing weekly in the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump. Basically, we have the main character, who can see spirits. He runs into a soul reaper, & ends up borrowing her powers to protect himself & his family. This, of course, leads to many battles, adventures & chances to dive deeper into the facinating world of the soul reapers, or shinigamis. Scanslations can be found at Toriyama's World, & the books can be purchased at Suncoast, eBay, & many of the bigger bookstores.
